Dogtown
Neighborhood #41-44, in St. Louis's Central Corridor.
Dogtown is an unofficial neighborhood made up of four city neighborhoods:
-
- Cheltenham
-
- Clayton-Tamm
-
- Franz Park
-
- Hi-Pointe
It also consists of part of one additional area called Ellendale. I didn’t feel like trying to figure out exactly where the bounds of Ellendale exist for Dogtown, so I just left it off the map boundary.
Dogtown is also historically the Irish neighborhood in St. Louis, and hosts a St. Patrick’s Day parade.
I haven’t spent much time in Dogtown yet, but I’ve been to a few restaurants, like Hi-Pointe, Failoni’s, Seamus McDaniels, and Mac’s Local Eats. It seems like a place with a tight-knit neighborhood feel and a lot of local bars and restaurants. It’s also close to Forest Park, so I can see that being a big benefit for the locals.
